CONTEMPORARY CHAPEL GARDEN

The brief for this project was for it to be a journey of discovery, a space full of lush green planting, divided into zones that tracked the sun throughout the day, with a chill out area, a bar, and firepit, as the garden would be used all year around, night and day. The site was narrow, and sloped in two directions, making usable level areas a challenge. The solution was to create a ‘floating’ steppingstone path linking the different areas and levels. Slatted screens and pergola were used to create privacy and to dissipate the wind that blew down through the garden.
