URBAN TERRACED GARDEN

This contemporary garden is all about relaxation and entertainment. The brief was for the garden to be able to host dinner parties for up to twelve guests and social evenings for up to sixty, standing room only of course. The property was on a sloping site and terracing was needed to create the different spaces within the garden. The lower terrace was widened considerably, reducing the imposing feel of the upper garden and giving room for the three-meter-long dining table. The retaining walls of the terracing and steps up to the garden provide multiple places for the guests to perch on.
